Two hundred is a large score in women's T20 cricket. • Rail. Burley Park is the closest station, around a fifteen-minute walk from the ground through residential streets. Headingley station is a similar distance on the other side. • Bus. Services along Otley Road and Headingley Lane run from Leeds city centre and drop within a few minutes' walk.
• Car. There is very little parking at the ground itself and Headingley's residential streets operate match-day restrictions. Park-and-ride from the city centre is the sane option.
• On foot. The walk from Hyde Park and the university area is about half an hour and is the route most students take.

Headingley's other advantage for a June tournament is drainage. The square has been relaid this century and the outfield clears water quickly, which matters when you are scheduling international cricket in Yorkshire between showers.

Why Headingley got this fixture

The 2026 tournament was staged by the England and Wales Cricket Board across seven grounds: Edgbaston in Birmingham, Old Trafford in Manchester, the Hampshire Bowl in Southampton, Headingley in Leeds, the Bristol County Ground, Lord's and The Oval in London. Scotland's tournament, in its own right
